About the Role
As a Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality geotechnical services that support critical infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct and interpret geotechnical investigations to inform design decisions for city infrastructure.
* Develop and implement geotechnical designs for earthworks, soil-structure interaction and engineering analysis of foundations for retaining walls and other structures.
* Lead and deliver comprehensive geotechnical investigations and designs for major infrastructure projects.
* Analyze and provide technical advice on geotechnical aspects of civil and structural designs.
* Review and validate geotechnical designs to ensure compliance with industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of geotechnical principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and registration as a Practising RPEQ – Geotechnical are essential requirements. Knowledge of local government processes and public project delivery are desirable.
