We are looking for experienced Residential Care Officer to join our team in Millner NT 0810. If you have a passion for providing physical, emotional, and social support to residents and interested to enhance your skills, then you are fit for this job.
Key Responsibilities:
o Provide personal care assistance to residents in accordance with their individual care plans, including assistance with daily living activities such as dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility.
o Support individuals in accessing therapeutic care services such as physical therapy, mental health counseling, and other specialized therapies as needed.
o Help coordinate and facilitate daily programs and activities tailored to the specific needs of residents. This may include recreational, educational, or social activities designed to enhance residents’ well-being.
o Assist individuals receiving in-home care services with daily living tasks, personal care, and any specialized support needs.
o Work collaboratively with other care staff, including Support Coordinators, nurses, therapists, and management, to ensure the holistic care of each resident.
o Ensure that the group home environment complies with health and safety regulations, creating a safe and secure living space for residents.
o Assist Support Coordinators by providing feedback on residents’ progress and needs.
o Maintain accurate records of residents’ care, daily activities, and any incidents or changes in condition.
What you'll require:
o Strong understanding of client assessment, case management, and support planning.
o Experience working in community services, residential care, disability support, or related welfare settings.
o Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
o Skills in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and providing emotional and practical support.
o Knowledge of community resources, welfare systems, and referral pathways.
o Strong organisational, reporting, and documentation abilities.
o Empathy, patience, professionalism, and the ability to work with vulnerable individuals.
o Relevant qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Youth Work, Disability, or related discipline.
