The Key Accountabilities of the Role
- Lead the end‑to‑end product delivery process, ensuring timely and successful releases that meet customer needs.
- Establish and drive the adoption of agile frameworks to optimize team performance and deliver business value.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, product teams, and stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and release milestones.
- Provide visibility of the portfolio delivery plan, monitoring and reporting on progress, milestones, and risks, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate escalation of issues.
The Key Responsibilities of the Role
- Drive the implementation of Agile project management practices, frameworks and associated processes to ensure continuous improvement.
- Establish, implement, monitor, and improve project management and delivery processes, including reporting and quality control measures.
- Act as a primary point of contact for delivery issues and provide regular updates and progress reports to internal/external stakeholders (incident management).
- Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to team members to ensure successful implementation and adoption of Agile methodologies.
- Conduct Agile training and coaching sessions for team members, fostering a continuous improvement culture.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination between cross‑functional teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and provide regular updates on the status of development projects.
- Help the team prioritise work effectively, manage the sprint backlog, and improve velocity.
- Oversee the documentation of customer‑facing release notes as part of the wider Product management process.
- Provide oversight and coordination of release management activities, ensuring that product increments are planned, tested, and delivered seamlessly into customer environments.
The Key Requirements for the Role
- Proven experience in technical project management using Agile methodologies.
- Strong technical background and familiarity with software development concepts and tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise and deliver on time within budget.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent team management, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Sound understanding of software development processes and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with Agile project management tools and platforms, such as Jira.
- Awareness of industry best practices and emerging trends in Agile software development.
- Demonstrated experience in an Agile project management or Agile Delivery Manager role.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering software products or projects using Agile methodologies.
- Experience working in cross‑functional teams and managing stakeholders’ expectations.
