About the role
Mater Mothers' Hospital seeks experienced Registered Midwives to work as part of our Rotational Midwifery Team. Roles are permanent or maximum‐term, 0.7–0.8 FTE, in South Brisbane. Rotational midwives work in antenatal clinics, birth suites, high‐risk antenatal and gynaecology wards, postnatal wards, and special‐care nurseries, caring for patients ranging from low‐risk to complex obstetric and medical cases.
Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional midwifery care, perform risk assessment and management.
* Coordinate with obstetric, gynaecology, neonatology, and maternal‐fetal medicine teams.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and apply evidence‐based practice.
* Communicate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff to deliver family‐centred care.
* Engage in quality‐improvement initiatives and continuous professional development.
Qualifications
* Current registration with AHPRA (no restrictions).
* At least one year post‐graduate experience, preferably in an antenatal environment.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and clinical problem‐solving skills.
* Evidence of ongoing educational and professional development.
