Townsville Eye Care is an established ophthalmology practice. We are currently seeking another suitably experienced medical receptionist to join our team. If you enjoy being busy, love to be challenged and can provide excellent customer service to our patients, this may be the position for you.
Preferred experience
experience in a busy reception environment
experience and knowledge of Medicare, Health Funds and DVA
experience with medical software, in particular Genie
knowledge of medical terminology
exceptional attention to detail
a high level of customer service and communication skills
typing
reliable, efficient and able to work in a busy environment with the ability to multitask
The successful applicant will be able to work a variety of start and finish times to accommodate the hours of this busy practice. Part time or full-time hours will be considered for the right candidate. You will work within a team of friendly reception and nursing staff, and independently at times. The practice has a professional approach with a supportive culture.
Daily tasks include
greeting patients, maintaining patient records, filing
managing incoming calls, emails and referrals
appointment setting and surgery bookings
invoicing, quoting and receipting accounts
daily reconciliation of banking
liaising with hospitals, medical clinics and third parties
typing and correspondence management
general administration
