**Your new role**

The primary purpose of the role is to lead a team to deliver PIRSA's program of product development including both in-house and third-party solutions, as well as enabling incremental changes to existing software solutions (defect management, enhancement management), in regular collaboration with ICT Operations, ICT Security, and ICT Architecture teams.
The role contributes to delivering the agency's priorities including stimulating value growth and resetting the operating environment.
The role contributes to delivering systems and technology that supports high levels of customer service and responsiveness.
**What you'll need to succeed**
This role will require you to have experience leading a high performing team delivering the service to customers and colleagues in line with service level expectations across product, process, data and technology. You'll have:
- Experience in understanding of SAAS solutions operating in a DevOps-based environment with a broad understanding of the risks and issues inherent in a product migration strategy / roadmap from an on-premise to a mixed on-premise / cloud environment.
- Experience in ensuring that there is a business perspective on how any new technical capabilities will be integrated into the business, including planning around key business cycles, selecting appropriate customers for migration, etc.
- Experience in setting strategy for resource management within systems development, authorises the allocation of resources for systems development programmes, and maintains an overview of the contribution of such programmes to organisational success.
- Experience in developing organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for software construction and refactoring.
