The successful applicant will undertake maintenance and security of school buildings, grounds and equipment to keep the school in a clean and tidy condition with regard to safety and security.
Key responsibilities include coordinating, initiating and implementing strategies to achieve improved security outcomes, managing maintenance programs, day-to-day grounds maintenance to enhance the school environment, relocating furniture and equipment and undertaking administrative tasks as required.
To be considered for this role, applicants must show initiative and work independently and within a team. A high degree of manual activity is involved, so applicants should possess an appropriate level of functional physical fitness.
Eligibility Requirements
* Evidence of a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People Act 2011
* Mandatory Asbestos Awareness Training: completion of training delivered by a Registered Training Organisation is required prior to commencement
Note that additional WHS procedures training may be required during employment.
A merit pool will be established from this selection process and used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
