About the role
The Product Engineering Lead willbe responsible for lifecycle engineering activities within the product line, including requirements, solutions analysis, architecture, design, build, and test, enhancements, and obsolescence/defects management.You will alsosupport theProduct Manager and Deputy Product Manager, through estimation and programming of technical work within the Product Line.
Duties
* Lead a technical team to design and integrate the DCR with nominated external systems in accordance with theAgencies engineering management system and industry best-practise principles.
* Communicate complex technical and operational issues into readily understandable concepts.
* Conduct Engineering Reviews of developed artefacts according to the project Engineering Management System and assigned Engineering Authority delegation.
* Contribute technical inputs to planning and execution of product demonstration events.
* Work with the Cyber Security Manager to appropriately respond to relevant security breaches, investigate how they occurred, identify lessons learned and implement remediation actions.
* Contribute to theAgency Engineering Management System and other engineering processes and lifecycle management activities.
Skills & experience
* Ability to demonstrate extensive experience in ICT technical management, including ability to demonstrate personal leadership and delivery skills
* Expert level knowledge in areas such as ICT infrastructure, integration design, infrastructure-as-code, and ICT development methodologies
* Able to demonstrate personal DevOps / DevSecOps implementation and leadership experience
* Experience creating and deploying code and configurations using a DevOps pipeline
* Experience providing technical subject matter expertise and professional mentorship in a DevOps organisation.
* Test and evaluation experience
* Extensive experience in information technology and/or cyber security technical delivery or service operations.
* Experience working with the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM), Defence Security Protective Framework, and the National Institute of Standard and Technology.
