What does the job look like?
Linfox's Intermodal business unit has a current full time, permanent opportunity for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our road transport team in Laverton North VIC. As part of this role, you will report directly to the Operations Manager and play a key role in overseeing and managing safety, compliance, toolbox talks, tracking and monitoring interstate deliveries, Yard checks and fleet utilisation. This is a night shift role working Monday to Friday, starting at 9:00pm and finishing at 5:00am. Key areas:
* Promoting a safety-first culture ensuring commitment to safety, chain of responsibility and quality requirements.
* Provide operational leadership with responsibility for ensuring service delivery is in line with contractual requirements.
* Effective management and development of a direct reports, operational teams and subcontractor partners to provide efficiency and drive improvement across the network.
* Proactive management of customer relationships facilitating growth through new customer integration and organic growth of existing accounts.
* Effectively analyse equipment and operational tasks to deliver productive outcomes through resource utilisation, route optimisation and subcontractor management.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote continuous improvement and safety compliance.
Are you the one?
This is an operational role requiring a supervisor with experience within the transport industry.You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience providing leadership and effective operational decision making within a complex supply chain environment. You can demonstrate:
* 3+ years of experience with Road Transport operations in a supervisor capacity or similar
* Strong knowledge and experience within an operational environment.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement with an ability to build strong relationships across all levels and effectively implement and manage supply contracts.
* Ability to confidently lead, drive outcomes and develop diverse high-performance teams
* Understanding of operational drivers, cost control and operational budgeting
* Process driven, analytical and methodical with a passion to drive continuous improvement
