Accountabilities Include
* Assist with project managing construction and maintenance projects within the business unit, including budgeting, programming, monitoring expenditure, controlling and reviewing priorities
* Implement project management techniques and management systems to assist in enhancing project performance
* Assist in managing project team resources to ensure delivery of construction and maintenance projects within budget and time constraints
* Assist the project team to comply with legislative and internal TMR quality procedures and systems
* Prepare and manage quality documents contributing to the progress claims.
* Prepare project management plan including safety, traffic and environmental, and procurement plans
* Maintain effective liaison and communication with project staff and subcontractors
* Calculate quantities of materials, analyse test results for materials, identify non-conformances, determine the controls needed during construction, and conduct and manage risk assessment
* Present technical training sessions on standard specifications for relevant project staff
* Assist the Project Manager in carrying out various duties from time to time as directed
* Commitment to Transport and Main Roads' Workplace Health & Safety Policy of achieving a Zero Harm workplace
Mandatory Requirements
* A Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent Civil Engineering qualification which is acceptable by Engineers Australia is a requirement of this position.
* Valid Queensland 'C' class driver's licence or equivalent.
