Reporting to the Project Manager, the primary responsibility of the HSE Manager will be ensuring SIMPEC's high safety standards are in place whatever the situation. As the successful incumbent, you will play a critical role in influencing behaviours at all levels of the project, ensuring full compliance of the safety management system with all applicable standards, legislative requirements, and client expectations
**About The Project**:
The scope of the works involves the expansion of Cockburn Cement Limited's (CCL) cement operations at Kwinana, WA. This includes new grinding circuits and raw material storage and reclamation system designed to produce several different cement products for the local market. The facility will incorporate 2 new 100 tph ball mill grinding circuits feeding into 6 new 3,200 tonne finished product silos with truck out loading.

**What will your day look like?**
- Ensuring full compliance of the safety management system with all applicable standards, legislative requirements, and client expectations.
- Undertake regular audits and maintain audit records.
- Ensure the project meets our clients HSE requirements.
- Taking a lead role with SIMPEC's internal and external audit and inspection processes.
- Ensure all incident reporting and investigation processes are followed, and all incidents are investigated and closed out appropriately.
- Delivery of programs across the site or location to ensure all project requirements are addressed.
- Development of Project Specific Management Plans.
- Contribute to the development of strategies, objectives, and targets to improve HSE performance.
- Assist in the development of training needs analysis.
- Develop SEWMS for the project and review subcontractors SEWSM as required.
- Facilitate effective return to work and injury management.
- Provide expert advice and practical solutions.
- Facilitation of Critical Risk Workshops.
- Champion SIMPEC'S SIMSafe Culture Program.
- Generate HSE Performance Reports on a weekly and Monthly basis.
- Mentoring HSE Coaches.

- Minimum of Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) a degree in OHS will be advantageous.
- 5+ years in similar industry, services or construction organisation.
- Lead Investigator - ICAM and/or Taproot.
- Cert IV Training and Assessment (Desirable).
- Federal Safety Commission Accreditation experience.
- Understanding of contractual requirements.
- Experience within the resources sector.
- Strategic thinking skills with a highly developed ability to practically drive strategic business outcomes.
- Strong understanding of HSE legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
