**The Role**
The Export Control Manager provides essential leadership on all facets of export compliance, ensuring that International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements are met for the P-8A Poseidon and MQ-4C Triton programs which operate under a Cooperative Program arrangement with the United States Navy.
By demonstrating flexibility, responsiveness and excellent stakeholder management skills you will execute a range of planning, governance and assurance activities. Responsibilities will include:
- Accountable for Export Control (EC) planning, EC document formation, all supporting activities, ensuring compliance with Defence policy and legislation and processes and procedures.
- Provide advice, direction and assistance for EC policy and process.
- Use experience to deliver EC related documentation including, templates, schedule, correspondence, reports, submissions, plans and strategies.
- Engage and communicate with all parties that are influential in the obtaining of Export Authorisation in support of the P-8 and Triton programs.
- Support SRSPO Community of Practice EC governance functions to achieve SRSPO deliverables.
The current advertised vacancy is located in Edinburgh, SA. However, remote work arrangements located out of Defence bases in Canberra, ACT or Williamtown, NSW may be considered for the successful applicants. **About our Team**
Surveillance and Response Systems Program Office (SRSPO) ensures the availability and performance of complex surveillance and response airborne and related systems for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) - including the P-8A Poseidon and the AP-3C (Electronic Warfare) aircraft systems. SRSPO acquires and supports common Aeronautical Life Support Equipment (ALSE) used on all air vehicles operated by the RAAF, Navy and Army. In the near future we will also support the MQ-4C Triton, a new remotely piloted high altitude long endurance aircraft system.
