Overview
Join us as a Machinist and see how your routine and non-routine machining make a difference in helping us deliver on our purpose and achieve our goals. Element is searching for a self-motivated, mechanically inclined person to join the Machine shop. This role involves operating various Machine Shop equipment in the production process.
Element is a renowned Aerospace Testing Company with clients such as Boeing, SpaceX, and Blue Origin.
Our shared purpose of ‘Making tomorrow safer than today’ unites us. We are driven to make the world a better and safer place. This role is on the 2nd shift, 4:30pm-1am, with a $1 shift differential. Salary ranges from $20-$26/hr.
Responsibilities
* Willing to train the right candidate
* Set up, operate, and monitor CNC and conventional machinery to ensure timely production, including machining samples to close tolerances
* Read and interpret drawings, instructions, safety rules, and procedures
* Select, align, and secure fixtures, tools, and materials on machines
* Use of machine tools and inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers
Skills / Qualifications
This environment is fast-paced; we need proactive, self-motivated team players who are keen to learn and enthusiastic about challenges. You should have:
* HS diploma or GED
* Experience with basic hand tools
* Previous shop experience is a plus
* Technical/vocational training in a related field is a plus
* Willing to train the right candidate
Note: This position requires access to export-controlled commodities and data, and U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency is required. Employment is contingent upon obtaining necessary export authorizations.
