Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) who holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to join our Santos team at the Moomba site in remote South Australia. This is a unique opportunity to provide high-quality clinical care and health education in a challenging and rewarding remote work environment. The role operates on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off (2/2) FIFO roster, with travel provided from either Brisbane or Adelaide.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver primary and emergency health care, including advanced life support, trauma management, and resuscitation as required.
2. Conduct daily medical clinics, manage work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses, and facilitate return-to-work planning.
3. Liaise with internal and external healthcare providers, including the site's medical advisors, for medevacs and specialist referrals.
4. Conduct drug and alcohol testing, health surveillance, and facilitate health assessments such as audiometry and spirometry.
5. Facilitate health-related training programs including First Aid, CPR, Injury Management, and occupational health awareness.
6. Maintain medical facilities and equipment to a high standard, ensuring alignment with clinical governance and client protocols.
7. Promote workplace health initiatives and deliver training sessions aligned with the Healthier Santos strategy.
8. Uphold all health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
1. Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
2. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).
3. Advanced Life Support (ALS) and CPR Certification.
4. Trauma Qualification (e.g., PHTLS or TNCC).
5. Current certification in Drug and Alcohol Testing (HLTPAT005 or equivalent).
6. Proven experience in remote or resource sector health service delivery is highly regarded.
7. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage in multidisciplinary team settings.
