About the Role
Full-Time/Ongoing
Employment Start Date – Immediate/Negotiated start
FTE/Time Fraction – 1.0 FTE (38 hours per week)
The Tech Specialist – Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining and improving the College’s ICT infrastructure and digital systems to ensure they are secure, reliable and effective. The role supports on‑premise and cloud‑based environments, contributes to ICT projects and cybersecurity, and provides high‑level technical support that enables teaching, learning and business operations across the College.
Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated experience administering and supporting on‑premise and cloud‑based ICT infrastructure, including servers, storage and networking environments.
* Proven capability in managing Microsoft 365 and associated cloud services, including identity, security and endpoint management.
* Strong understanding of system reliability, performance monitoring, backups and disaster recovery to ensure secure and continuous operations.
* Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including risk management, incident response and compliance requirements.
* Experience contributing to or leading ICT projects, system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ability to provide high‑level technical support and act as an escalation point for complex ICT issues, while maintaining service standards.
* Well‑developed communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, leadership and external providers while maintaining confidentiality.
