Are you a hands-on leader who takes pride in keeping buildings running safely and smoothly? At Levande Cardinal Freeman in Ashfield, we're looking for a Maintenance Supervisor who's committed to delivering high-quality maintenance services that support a safe and welcoming environment for our residents.
Why This Role is Important
This role is about more than fixing what's broken — it's about creating a home where residents feel safe, comfortable, and supported. As Maintenance Supervisor, you'll lead a small team responsible for maintaining the village's buildings and facilities to a high standard. Your work helps ensure our residents can enjoy peace of mind in a well-maintained environment.
What You'll Do
* Lead and support the day-to-day work of the maintenance team
* Manage preventative and reactive maintenance for village buildings and facilities
* Coordinate contractor access and oversee quality of completed works
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and reporting protocols
* Respond to resident maintenance requests with professionalism and care
* Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in safe working order
* Use digital systems to log, schedule, and track work requests
What You'll Bring
* At least 3 years' experience in building or facility maintenance
* Experience leading or supervising a small team
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* A customer-first mindset and great communication skills
* Confidence using basic digital tools (email, calendars, job tracking systems)
* Sound understanding of WHS practices
Even Better If You Have
* Trade qualifications or relevant technical certifications
* Experience working in residential, healthcare, or retirement living environments
* A valid driver's licence
