A leading provider of custom spray booth solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their team in Keysborough.
This newly created role is central to the development of an in-house finance function, reflecting the company’s ongoing growth. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions, supporting accurate reporting, and providing financial insights to assist in operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-Day Accounting: Manage accounts payable, receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports including cash flow summaries, profit & loss, and balance sheets.
Compliance & BAS: Ensure compliance with ATO requirements including BAS, superannuation, and payroll obligations.
Process Improvement: Streamline accounting processes and support the implementation of financial systems and controls.
Support to Management: Provide timely financial information to management to support decision-making and business planning.
Liaison with External Parties: Work with accountants and auditors as needed to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably in a manufacturing or trades-based environment.
Proficient with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
Understanding of payroll, superannuation, and GST obligations.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to work autonomously.
Formal qualifications in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance preferred.
