About us
The Pharmacy Department at the Rockhampton Hospital manages all medications across the hospital, including the preparation and supply of all inpatient medication on the wards, and prescription and dispensary services for patients visiting the hospital.
About the role
The Pharmacist will function as part of a team and is responsible for the provision of a broad range of contemporary clinical Pharmacy services to the facilities within the Rockhampton Hospital campus and other facilities throughout the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service, as well as participation in a broad range of Quality Use of Medicines initiatives.
Demonstration of high-level knowledge, skill and expertise will be recognised by experience, professional development, post-graduate education or other formal qualifications and active participation in the SHPA ClinCAT assessment on a regular basis.
About you
* The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in pharmacy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a pharmacist in Australia (or eligible for registration in Australia).
* Demonstrated level of knowledge, expertise and skill in pharmacy practice ranging from base level to advanced, depending on years of experience.
* Proven ability to work effectively as a member of the team with an ability to promote and adapt to change.
* High level of communication and interpersonal skills with patients/clients and their families, and all members of the interdisciplinary team.
What we offer
Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $43.68 - $58.59 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
