**Your new company**
Hays are proud to be partnering with a leading Tasmanian brand in their search for a capable Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team on a 6-month contract. This is a family-owned business who has businesses across Tasmania.
**Your current role**
Based in the Hobart, as a key member of the Executive you'll be reporting directly to the CEO and the Board. The CFO oversees all aspects of the financial management of the business along with I.T, Assets, and Project Services. The CFO plays a pivotal role in setting the strategic direction of the Finance, ICT and & Asset divisions ensuring that the financial performance of the business is meeting the expectations of all relevant stakeholders.
To do this successfully you will:
- In consultation with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, develop and execute the strategic and commercial direction of the business 
- Lead a very capable team with passion, vision, and a strategic approach 
- Drive business performance by developing new systems, strategies, and business process across Finance, I.T and Assets 
- Have a continual process improvement focus, to ensure efficiency gains, and excellent internal control 
- Lead project work as required
**What you'll need to succeed**
As a proven leader within a complex & changing environment, you'll have a history of leading a finance team with vision and passion. You'll have the ability to bring a strategic approach to the Executive Team, while still being able to focus on ensuring that the Finance, I.T, and Asset teams are operating with efficiencies and best practice. You'll bring a commercial focus and have proven experience in a CFO role. Other requirements include: 
Essential Requirements 
- Post graduate Qualifications such as CA/CPA 
- Have extensive Senior Management leadership experience working in a complex and regulated environment 
- Excellent interpersonal skills that will help engage right across the business beyond the immediate finance team 
- Enjoying leading, and supporting transformation of broad workforces 
- Manufacturing experience will be desirable but not essential
