ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join the Executive Leadership Team. This is a key leadership position responsible for building scalable operational systems and enhancing cross-functional cohesion to support national growth.
This role will play a central role in embedding operational excellence, improving predictability across the business, and ensuring alignment between strategic goals and day-to-day execution. This role will also act as a cultural leader—fostering collaboration, transparency, and engagement as the organisation continues to evolve.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the development and implementation of scalable systems and processes to support multi-site growth.
* Drive cohesion across departments by improving workflows and communication channels.
* Collaborate with senior leaders to align operational initiatives with strategic objectives.
* Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation across operational functions.
* Champion a high-performing, people-first culture through strong leadership and mentoring.
* Leverage data and digital tools to optimise decision-making and operational efficiency.
* Report to the CEO and Board on operational performance and key growth metrics.
* Ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and uphold the highest quality standards.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* 10+ years in senior operational leadership roles, ideally in high-growth or multi-site environments.
* Proven success in designing and executing scalable systems and structures.
* Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a focus on long-term sustainability.
* A people-focused leadership style with experience driving cultural and organisational change.
* Expertise in cross-functional team leadership and stakeholder engagement.
* Experience in the education or care sectors is advantageous but not essential.
* A strategic mindset, adaptability, and a passion for purpose-led work.
