CS Gas are a specialist engineering and industrial services provider based in Acacia Ridge, delivering integrated solutions across the energy, gas, mining and resources sectors. The business offers endtoend capabilities including engineering and design, inhouse fabrication, electrical and instrumentation, automation, SCADA and field services, supporting clients throughout the full asset lifecycle. With extensive inhouse manufacturing and engineering capacity, CS Gas designs and delivers customised mechanical, electrical and controlsystem solutions while maintaining strong safety, quality and operational performance standards. Their multidisciplinary EPC model ensures efficiency, reliability and seamless project delivery across complex industrial environments.
Operating for more than 20 years, CS Gas has grown into a trusted provider of well optimisation, emissionsreduction technologies, gas management systems and remote monitoring services, supported by a major fabrication facility in Acacia Ridge and regionally based field services teams.
Your New Role
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, this newly created role leads the Finance function across three subsidiary entities. Managing a team of 4–5 finance professionals, you will be responsible for both operational delivery and executivelevel financial leadership. This role requires resilience, handson capability and the confidence to influence across all levels of the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
Financial Leadership & Governance
* Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and statutory compliance across the group.
* Reconfigure and restructure the balance sheets to improve transparency, accuracy and financial clarity.
* Manage debt finance suppliers, banking relationships and funding arrangements.
* Strengthen internal controls, governance, risk management and financial discipline across the three subsidiaries.
Strategic Finance & Business Partnering
* Partner closely with the Executive GM to support strategic planning, investment decisions and commercial modelling.
* Provide financial insights that influence performance, cost control and operational decisionmaking.
* Support the development and execution of groupwide financial strategy.
ERP / SAP Optimisation
* Finalise and optimise the SAP ERP implementation, ensuring system stability, data accuracy and staff capability.
* Drive continuous improvement, system utilisation and process automation.
Commercial Performance & Project Analysis
* Lead profitability reporting and performance analysis across divisions and major projects.
* Provide commercial support to operational leaders, ensuring strong cost control, margin management and performance reporting.
* Contribute to the development and financial assessment of new projects and commercial opportunities.
Team Development & Leadership
* Lead and develop a growing Finance team including recruitment, capability uplift and coaching.
* Build a culture of high performance, accountability and continuous improvement.
What You'll Need to Succeed
* 10+ years of poven senior finance leadership.
* Strong background in bluecollar, industrial or fieldservices environments.
* Experience working within an SME, with demonstrated ability to build structure and uplift process maturity.
* Proven resilience and the ability to thrive in a growing, evolving environment.
* Handson experience with a large-scale ERP, ideally involving implementation or optimisation (SAP strongly preferred, but not essential).
* Strong commercial acumen with proven project analysis and business partnering capability.
* CA/CPA full member.
