Job Description
At Orikan, our Early Careers program is designed to help graduates transition from study to industry with confidence. From day one, you'll be supported through mentoring, hands‐on experience, and real responsibility — working on technology solutions that support customers across Australia and globally.
We're looking for a Graduate Full Stack Developer who has recently completed their degree and is ready to build modern, scalable web applications using the Microsoft .NET ecosystem.
This opportunity is open to graduates with Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship.
About the Graduate Role
This role is ideal for early‐career developers who want exposure to the entire software development lifecycle, while learning best practices from experienced engineers in a collaborative team environment.
You won't be expected to know everything on day one — what matters most is your technical curiosity, problem‐solving mindset, and eagerness to learn.
What You'll Be Doing
* Assist in the design, development and testing of full stack web applications
* Build and support back‐end APIs, business logic and data layers using .NET Core
* Translate UI/UX designs into responsive, accessible front‐end interfaces
* Work closely with senior developers, designers and product managers
* Debug, troubleshoot and optimise application performance
* Write clean, maintainable and testable code
* Contribute to technical documentation and team knowledge sharing
* Continuously build your technical skills across the .NET and web ecosystem
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
* Completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
* Strong foundational knowledge of C# and Object‐Oriented Programming
* Exposure to ASP.NET Core through study or projects
* Basic knowledge of SQL / relational databases
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
* Full Australian working rights (PR or Citizenship)
Nice to Have (but not required)
* Understanding of RESTful API design and integration
* Exposure to Microsoft Azure or cloud platforms
* Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
* Awareness of CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices
* Exposure to unit or automated testing
Why Start Your Career at Orikan?
* Early Careers focus with mentoring and structured learning
* Hands‐on experience working on production systems
* Supportive, collaborative engineering culture
* Exposure to enterprise‐scale, real‐world solutions
* Modern technology stack and best‐practice development
* Based at Orikan's Melbourne Head Office, with flexible working options
If you're a recent graduate excited about building web applications and growing your career as a full stack developer, we'd love to hear from you.
