About the role
As we gear up for exciting future expansion projects, we're looking for experienced Underground Geologists to join our dynamic and well-established team at Mungari.
This is your chance to play a key role in driving optimum ore extraction and contribute to the success of a leading operation. If you're ready for your next challenge and want to be part of something bigger – we want to hear from you
In a typical day you will:
* Take charge of detailed underground geological mapping, both ore and waste and guide ore headings with confidence. Your expert eye will ensure nothing valuable goes unnoticed.
* Be at the heart of our operation by managing daily production data and ore tracking. Your accurate, on-time reporting will empower key stakeholders to make informed decisions, fast.
* Showcase your geological skills by delivering thorough and structured core logging. You'll take full ownership of each drill hole you log, ensuring quality through rigorous QAQC validation, because excellence is in the details.
About you
You will be either be a resident of the Kalgoorlie/Boulder area, or FIFO from Perth working an 8:6 (12-hour day) roster.
To succeed in this role, you will have a minimum of one year's experience working in an underground environment and tick the below criteria.·
* 2-3 years industry experience in mine geology and grade control practices
* A minimum of 1 year experience underground.
* Understanding of geology work standards and practices
* Experience working within narrow vein gold mining (highly desirable)
* Contractor management and familiarity with mine planning (highly desirable)
* Intermediate skills with modelling software (Datamine, Leapfrog or similar) and database software (acQuire or similar)
* Understanding of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
* Effective communication and problem-solving skills
* Attention to detail, strong organisational and time management skills
