The role of the Fire Emergency Specialist involves responding to fires and other emergencies, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness, and developing competencies by participating in regular drills and training courses.

* Maintain attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
* Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment
