POSITION
We have a full-time position for a Restaurant Supervisor available in Edge Hill, QLD 4870
SKILLS
The role requires you to have at least a relevant AQF (or equivalent) Cert IV or above + 12 months of relevant employment experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Your role as Restaurant Supervisor is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, supervise and train staff, coordinate service and workflows, and ensure an exceptional customer experience while maintaining operational efficiency, compliance with relevant regulations, and effective communication with management.
POSITION DUTIES
The position will require you to perform the following tasks:
* Supervise the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth, efficient service across all shifts
* Lead, supervise and train front-of-house staff, including induction, ongoing coaching, and ensuring required competencies are met
* Monitor staff performance, manage rosters, approve timesheets, and address performance issues or grievances in a professional manner
* Plan and coordinate daily work activities, allocating tasks and priorities to staff while resolving operational issues as they arise to minimise service disruption
* Liaise closely with business owners and management to ensure clear communication and implementation of management instructions and operational standards
* Deliver a high level of customer service, including managing reservations, welcoming guests, overseeing service standards, and resolving customer complaints effectively
* Handle cash transactions, oversee POS operations, and ensure accurate cash reconciliation procedures are followed
* Complete end-of-day reporting, including staff cost monitoring and food and beverage cost control reporting
* Oversee the preparation and presentation of displays, menus, and daily specials to maintain visual and brand standards
* Supervise and assist with the preparation and service of beverages, including a range of cocktails, wines, and specialty drinks
* Promote, practice and enforce workplace health and safety procedures, leading by example and ensuring compliance with all OH&S requirements
* Coordinate and respond to emergencies by assessing risks, following emergency and evacuation procedures, and ensuring the safety of staff and patrons
* Ensure all premises, service areas, and equipment are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation
* Monitor and enforce liquor licensing requirements, ensuring responsible service of alcohol and addressing any breaches promptly
* Maintain and supervise accurate entry of records required under relevant accounting and hospitality industry standards
* Monitor stock levels and coordinate ordering to ensure adequate supplies are maintained across all areas of the restaurant
* Perform other incidental and peripheral duties as reasonably requested by the employer

SALARY
The salary offered will be $70,000 to $80,000 per annum negotiated based on your experience.
