Job Description
The primary objective of this role is to develop technical expertise in ecological projects with a focus on botanical aspects. The successful candidate will learn extended skills in conducting botanical surveys, plant community identification, and vegetation mapping.

About the Role
* Conduct botanical surveys and identify plant communities
* Demonstrate experience and skills in business management, particularly in NSW
* Assess vegetation condition and prepare vegetation maps using GIS software
* Provide written input to ecological reports

Essential Qualifications and Experience
AQF level 7 tertiary qualifications in Australian ecology, Australian botany, and GIS are required. A current driver's licence and residency within daily commuting distance of Cooma or Springwood office are also essential.

Desirable Experience and Qualities
* Willingness and physical fitness to conduct fieldwork in high-altitude, regional, and remote locations
* Familiarity with high country flora and excellent English communication and report writing skills
* Able to travel to other areas of NSW for extended projects
