Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

Servers Australia, a wholly Australian-owned provider of Cloud Hosting, Dedicated and Virtual Servers, Colocation, and IP Transit Services, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. Our in-house development resources and niche market position make us one of Australia's leading cloud hosting providers in the ANZ market.
We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide technical support to our customers via phone calls and tickets. In addition, you will collaborate with our Systems Engineering team to ensure that all internal servers are secure and up-to-date.
The role is based at our Wyong office and involves rotating shifts, including afternoon shift, weekends, and public holidays, with an option to participate in a rotating on-call roster. You will also receive 4 weeks of annual leave per year.
Responsibilities:
* Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to Servers Australia customers
* Resolve customer issues related to break/fix and configuration on customer and internal systems
* Install and troubleshoot software on servers in our Data Centres
* Review and refine documentation and knowledge base articles to improve customer experience
* Assist with and troubleshoot customer products, including email, domains, hosting, cloud servers, VPS, colocation, private cloud, and virtual data centre
* Identify gaps in customer solutions and provide recommendations
* Research and solve problems independently
Requirements:
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent customer service skills and ability to troubleshoot technical support calls
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team
* Dependable and able to meet assigned shift schedules and complete work as expected
* Knowledge of various protocols such as HTTPS, FTP, DNS, SMTP, etc
* Experience with Linux-based and Windows operating systems
* Strong internet skills and ability to research and resolve issues independently
* cPanel and WHM experience
* Basic understanding of networking technologies and concepts
* Ability to multitask and meet specific goals

* Backup software such as Acronis Backup and VEEAM
* VMware Virtualisation
* Proxmox Virtual Environment
* Virtuozzo Virtualisation
* MySQL / MS SQL
* Apache / NGINX
* PHP, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
* Strong understanding of networking
* Website infrastructure (WordPress, Nginx, Apache, etc)
* Data Storage (SAN and NAS)
* RAID Configuration and Management
