We have the knowledge and expertise that comes with more than 50 years of practice and we are proud of our long and stable history with both our clients and our staff.THE POSITIONWe are looking for a professional, personable, and proactive Receptionist / Legal Secretary to join our team and create a welcoming and supportive experience for our clients.As the face and voice of the firm, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, visitors, and callers.
This role goes beyond answering phones and managing appointments, as you will also be responsible for some legal administration duties, supporting the office and the legal team to continue to deliver exceptional services to all clients.Remuneration for this position will be commensurate with your previous experience and how closely you align with the selection criteria.
We anticipate remuneration to be in the range of $60,000 to $70,000 plus superannuation.What we offerCompetitive remunerationThe opportunity to learn from an experienced team that will contribute generously to your professional developmentA great working environment with a stable and friendly office culture that recognises the importance of work-life balanceThe ideal candidateThe ideal candidate will be a dynamic team player with a strong work ethic, robust organisational skills, with previous experience in a reception or administrative role, ideally in legal or a professional services environment.Key responsibilitiesManage all incoming telephone calls and direct them appropriatelyGreet all clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming mannerMaintain a tidy and organised reception areaMaintain a tidy and organised staffroom facilities areaSchedule appointments and manage meeting room bookingsFacilitate payments by clientsHandle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveriesProvide administrative support to the ABKJ team as requiredProvide Legal Assistant duties to the ABKJ team including document preparation, scanning, filing, and data entryAttending to online Titles Office LodgementsOrdering Stationery and other office suppliesMaintain confidentiality and always adhere to legal office protocolsWhat we are looking forAt least 12 months full-time experience in a similar role in QueenslandExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHighly developed time management and organisational skillsProficient in using standard office equipment and softwareAbility to remain calm and professional under pressureA friendly, positive, proactive team player attitude
