Position Summary :
The Machine Operator is responsible for the operation of plant and equipment and any manual work required to complete tasks. This position must work in line with company safety plans, procedures and non-negotiable's required by our clients. The position is also responsible for ensuring that all equipment is maintained and in good order to prevent breakdowns and stoppages. Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems.
Key Requirements :
* Proficient and confident operation of plant and machinery
* Knowledge of the industry with experience running excavation plant and equipment
* Proficient use of iPhone, iPad and excel spreadsheets.
* Has experience in building effective relationships with clients and staff
* Excellent communication skills
* Proven ability to analyse processes and ensure continuous improvement to avoid mistakes
* Systematic approach to business operations to avoid mistakes and to report near missus
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to a high standard

Job Responsibility :
* Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment. (Major repairs are performed under the supervision of licensed maintenance workers.)
* Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts
* Calibrates and repairs systems
* Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures
* May operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems
* Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster; paints building structures
* Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures
* Obtains estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed
* Assist with construction or remodeling projects
* Maintains the overall condition of the building and grounds
* Performs inspection of the premises and ensure that any hazardous conditions are immediately taken care of
* Any other duties that may be required
