**The Role**

This person will collaborate with Greencap's national environmental team, vendors, and strong client base and assist with work winning, project delivery, business development and technical oversight consistent with Greencap's FY22-24 strategic plan.

This role will be supported by a team of high performing technical experts. In this role, you will be:

- Leading and coaching within the service line to deliver business results by maximising client expectations and practice outcomes
- In partnership with Practice Manager and/or VIC Team Manager, perform work winning activities on customer accounts by identifying, creating and securing new opportunities to meet revenue budget targets.
- Monitoring assigned projects to ensure they meet defined project objectives (i.e. meet Client and regulatory needs, timeframes, budget etc.) and regularly communicating with key stakeholders.
- Using your technical background to deliver high-quality, varied work in the areas of contaminated land assessments, management, and remediation
- Leading, mentoring and developing junior, intermediate & senior staff to deliver and add value to our clients while reflecting Greencap's culture and values
- Responsible for delivery of relatively more complex projects (including audited projects, sensitive land use sites, projects with various types of site contamination challenges, and projects with high stakeholder involvement), a compilation of technical reports, and presenting findings to Clients
- Conducting a range of field activities, including soil, soil vapour sampling, landfill gas measurements, air monitoring, groundwater sampling, and staff coaching on the field

**About you**
- Technical specialty: A technical contaminated land practitioner who has in-depth understanding and extensive working experience with National Environment Protection (Assessment of Site Contamination) Measures (2013), EPA legislation (inc. waste management, resource recovery exemptions, and SEPP55), and other relevant state and national legislation, guidelines and relevant Australian and international standards.
- Commercial orientation: Client and delivery focused expert who has the required skills and experience to ensure factual & adequate contaminated land report delivery, industrial problem solving, and client appreciation.
- Leadership orientation: Great team player and growth-oriented leader who will have a genuine interest in working collaboratively with our highly dedicated team of carefully selected consultants and be genuinely committed to developing our people.
- Hands-on delivery expert: who does not shy away from being actively involved in the delivery and leading the team by example through writing exemplary reports, writing winning proposals & tenders, participating in fieldwork (including coaching staff on technical fieldwork events), and demonstrating excellent project management;
- Proven Business Development acumen: that involves a strong client base in VIC and developing the business through prospecting, new client engagement, and capability development.
- Certified or eligible for: Certified Environmental Practitioner Site Contamination Specialist (CENVP SC), Certified Professional Soil Scientist - Contaminated Site Assessment and Management (CPSS CSAM), or VIC EPA Accredited Site Auditor.

To succeed in this role, here's what we need:

- An experienced and confident Senior/ Principal Environmental Consultant (or similar), who is passionate about contaminated land and can develop, perform and deliver projects with mínimal supervision.
- At least 10+ years of industry experience in the field of contaminated land.
- Willingness to grow professionally both as a technical expert and a Client-facing professional with necessary commercial acumen.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence at all levels, both internally and external stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of project management, project delivery and VIC environmental regulatory framework.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement with a desire to achieve best practice outcomes.
- Keen to be actively involved in work delivery and lead by example.
- Qualifications in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science,
