Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
A pharmacy technician plays a crucial role in the delivery of patient care by assisting pharmacists with dispensing medication, maintaining accurate records and providing technical support for the pharmacy department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance of imprest stock requirements for all wards and departments.
* Assistance with maintaining pharmacy stock and pharmacy records related to clinical trials.
* Coordination of outreach clinic requirements.
* Assistance with the dispensing of inpatient, outpatient, discharge, Emergency Department and Clinical Trials prescriptions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
• A nationally recognised Pharmacy Technician Certificate Course or equivalent.
• Demonstrated pharmacy dispensing experience with high level competency.
• Ability to work independently and productively as an effective team member.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Attention to fine details and accuracy at work.
