About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail‐oriented HV Electrical Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and timely estimates for high‐voltage construction projects across Queensland. The size of the project you will estimate will range from $10,000 to $10 million dollars. You will play a key role in supporting Asset Power Solutions' continued success by delivering cost‐effective solutions, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring seamless handovers to our project delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret and analyse engineering drawings, project specifications, and tender documentation.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for HV construction projects, including materials, labour, plant, and subcontractor costs.
* Issue and manage RFQs, negotiate with suppliers, and identify cost‐saving opportunities.
* Attend site inspections and pre‐tender meetings to assess project scope and risk.
* Prepare and submit tender documentation and proposals within required deadlines and company standards.
* Maintain and update unit pricing databases and estimating tools.
* Collaborate closely with operations and clients to clarify scope and deliver complete project handovers.
About You
* Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, ideally within LV, MV or HV construction project environments.
* Are you a LV estimator looking to make the move into HV estimating.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems, drawings, and specifications.
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
* Proficiency in estimating and CRM software (e.g. Simpro) preferred.
* A proactive, solutions‐focused attitude and a commitment to quality and accuracy.
