Job Description
Elastomers Australia currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated full time Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team based in Campbellfield. Reporting to the Management Accountant, this role will be responsible for managing and taking ownership of end-to-end accounts payable in a high-volume manufacturing environment, while supporting the wider finance team.
Duties
* Review, verify, and process high-volume invoices, including allocations against receipted purchases orders.
* Resolve discrepancies via Supply Chain liaison on PO/supplier issues and statement follow-ups.
* Perform weekly AP reconciliations, payments, supplier management, employee reimbursements/expense claims.
* Produce monthly reports reconciling to the general ledger.
* Handle vendor queries, finance admin, and foster a positive team environment.
* Drive process improvement and implementation.
* Mentor and provide guidance and support to the Accounts Payable team
Requirements
* Extensive full-time Accounts Payable experience in high-volume manufacturing, with strong skills in reconciliation and invoice discrepancy resolution.
* Proficiency in ACCPAC/SAGE 300 (highly desirable) or an equivalent ERP platform, plus intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel for reconciliations.
* Proven expertise required in resolving inventory receipting issues against POs and handling remote branch locations.
* Self-starter able to think on feet, thrive in high-pressure environments, and drive process improvements.
* Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and communication for multitasking under deadlines.
* Proven accuracy, organisational skills, and ability to work independently or in a team.
* Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.
* Produce monthly reports and ensure reports balance back to the general ledger.
