Who we are
TasPorts is a state-owned company responsible for ten Tasmanian ports and the Devonport Airport. We keep Tasmania connected to the world, with 99% of the State's freight moving through our ports.
Our work supports industries, communities and the broader Tasmanian economy. It's complex, operational and often behind the scenes, but it has a direct impact on how Tasmania functions every day.
We're increasingly focused on how we better tell that story. That means lifting how we communicate, how we show up, and how we connect with people across the state.
We are proud to be recognised as a WORK180 Endorsed Employer for All Women.

The opportunity
This is a role for someone who wants to shape how an organisation communicates in the digital space.
As our Digital Communications & Content Lead, you'll take ownership of how TasPorts shows up across social media, web and emerging platforms. You'll develop the strategy, but just as importantly, you'll bring it to life through strong, audience-focused content.
You'll have the opportunity to rethink how we engage with our audiences, test new approaches, and lift the quality and consistency of our digital presence.
This is a new role with scope to make it your own. It's suited to someone who is comfortable working at both a strategic and hands‐on level, and who is motivated by the opportunity to do things differently in a large, complex organisation.

* Create and deliver high-quality digital content that brings our work, projects and impact to life
* Champion a digital‐first, creative and contemporary approach to content development
* Identify opportunities to better position TasPorts with new and existing audiences
* Lead our social media presence, including platform approach, content planning and performance
* Champion a more contemporary, digital-first approach to communications across the organisation
* Brief, review and adapt creative assets to suit different platforms and audiences
* Use tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud to create or refine content where appropriate
* Manage relationships with external designers, agencies and suppliers to deliver high-quality creative outputs
* Work closely with teams across Communications, Community Engagement and Customer Engagement to deliver consistent and engaging content
* Support and position TasPorts leaders on digital channels, including LinkedIn
* Provide practical advice to teams on how to use digital channels effectively
* Monitor performance, test new approaches and continuously improve how we engage online
