Librarian Cadet

We are looking for a Librarian Cadet to join our Wollongong City Libraries. When you choose a cadetship with us, you will be guided by an experienced team and learn how to help people enrich their lives through reading, accessing library and community resources and participating in programs and events. You will also:
1. Assist with the delivery of programs and initiatives for various target groups, including children, youth, seniors, culturally diverse and people with disability.
2. Assist customers in the use of technology and equipment.
3. Support in-library marketing of collections.
4. Assist with collection processing and maintenance.
This cadetship involves undertaking repetitive manual tasks relating to library services activities.
This is a full-time term contract cadetship of up to 6 years undertaking a Bachelor of Information Studies (Librarian) by distance education through Charles Sturt University. Your anticipated start date is Monday 29 January 2024 and your salary will be from $1,025.35 per week plus superannuation.
On completion of your cadetship, you will have a formal qualification and be job ready for future employment as a Librarian.
