Overview

Port Lincoln Hospital is the hub of health care for the Eyre Peninsula. The Sterilisation Services team ensures safe, effective surgery and procedural care.

We are looking for a CSSD technician to manage the full sterilisation cycle, ensuring surgical instruments are safe and ready for theatre.

Key Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilise reusable medical devices in accordance with AS/NZS standards and SA Health policy.
• Operate and monitor sterilisation equipment, including autoclaves, and document traceability records accurately.
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members and contribute to quality and compliance activities.
• Identify and raise instrument or equipment concerns to maintain uninterrupted theatre and procedural schedules.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (or equivalent) meeting SA Health credentialing requirements for a WHD4 classification.
• Demonstrated experience in CSSD or sterilisation services with sound infection‐prevention knowledge.
• Proficiency in reprocessing a range of surgical instruments, including complex and delicate sets.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation and traceability processes.
• Ability to work effectively within a small, regionally based team that values patient safety.
• Current immunisation compliance, or willingness to obtain, as required under SA Health policy.

Salary: WHD4 $1,****** per week - $1,****** per week (pro‐rata) + 12% Superannuation + Leave Loading and Salary Sacrifice Benefits.
