About the company/role:
* Plastics manufacturing company
* Based in the Southeast suburbs of Melbourne
* Seeking a trades qualified Toolmaker/Fitter
* Ongoing contract
Duties, but are not limited to:
* Oversee continuous & thorough upkeep of all production machinery across the manufacturing facility
* Work with the Maintanance Manager to ensure any potential risk to plant and equipment are realised, captured & actioned
* Give valuable feedback regarding all aspects of plant improvements, preventative maintenance and potential efficiency gains whilst maintaining time management around the weekly production schedule
* Ensure all safety issues are given high priority and are addressed with a sense of urgency
* Preventative maintenance, overhauls, small project work & fabrication work with a strong emphasis on machine up-time & reliability
Skills/experience:
* Trade certified Toolmaker certificate
* Strong experience in maintenance/reliability within plastics, pharmaceutical, FMCG or other highly regulated industries
* Proven experience in maintenance, fabrication and troubleshooting within a high-pressured environment
* Must have experience with Injection Moulding machines
* Knowledge of MEX (Computer Maintenance Management systems) or similar
* Electrical D-license (nice to have)
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
