Telecommunications Linesworker (Multiple positions) 888 Electrical Solutions is a National Electrical / HVAC / Fire & Telecommunications contracting and service organisation who is looking for new service & construction Telecommunications Linesworker to assist in our expanding work requirements for the telecommunication industry. Multiple positions located in Cairns and Townsville, Queensland. Full-time Pay: $36.00 – $44.00 per hour Schedule: 8-hour shift Supplementary Pay: Overtime pay Qualifications/experience required
* Certificate III or higher qualification in Telecommunications / Engineering or three (3) + years relevant employment experience in the absence of a qualification
* At least 12 months of relevant employment experience in telecommunications industry
* Commitment to safe work practices;
* Knowledge of installation and maintenance of antenna and feeder cables on monopoles, roof tops and towers;
* Basic understanding of transmission systems including PDH, SDH, DWDM, ATM and packet switched networks;
* Previous experience installing and/or supporting Huawei, Nokia and Ericsson RBS, WCDMA/LTE.
* Basic or advanced rigging (preferred).
Duties will include but not limited to:
* Installations, relocation, additions, changes, diagnostics, maintenance and repair support for customer telecommunications equipment and systems;
* Install, commission, diagnose, repair and maintain radio network systems;
* Install, commission, diagnose, repair and maintain mobile data networks;
* Installation and maintenance of broadcast, radio, cellular, Wi-Fi and digital networks;
* Conducting line of sight surveys;
* Ensuring all tasks are completed with quality workmanship;
* Inspecting completed works and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.

* White Card (Preferred)
* Driver Licence (Required)
