Reports to: Director, Communications, Education and Policy
Position Type: Part Time – 20 hours per week, (fixed term until 31 Dec 2026)
Level: SCHADS Level 4 - $90,000 per annum, pro rata for part time (plus superannuation).

The Organisation
The Canberra Rape Crisis Centre (CRCC) is a non-government organisation working to eliminate sexual violence against women, young people, children and men. Our mission is to be an active, visible catalyst for social change through the provision of high-quality services within a trauma-informed framework.
We provide confidential counselling and practical support for victim survivors of sexual violence and their families who have experienced any form of sexual assault, sexual harassment and childhood sexual abuse or ritual.
We arrange immediate crisis appointments and provide a 24-hour crisis callout service through the Forensic and Medical Sexual Assault Care (FAMSAC) and/or Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team (SACAT) services.
Our crisis phone support is available from 7am until 11pm, 7 days a week.
Job Summary
The Program and Training Coordinator will be responsible for providing high-quality administrative, coordination, program management and communications support.
Key Responsibilities
Executive and Administrative Support
* Manage multiple inboxes and calendars, exercising discretion and judgement in triaging and responding
* Lead the coordination of meetings, including agenda preparation, minute taking, and ensuring accountability for action items
* Oversee workflow management across projects, proactively identifying risks and competing priorities
* Develop and implement administrative systems, processes, and tools.
Training and Event Support
* Coordinate the scheduling and delivery of training and education activities (printing, resource identification, logistics)
* Coordinate community events and outreach initiatives, with a focus on preparation and on-the-day delivery
* Monitor participation, feedback, and outcomes from training and events, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
Communications Support
* Develop and send routine communications to stakeholders, particularly regarding the scheduling of training and education
* Schedule social media posts and assist with basic content updates (e.g. website uploads)
* Monitor, analyse and summarise media and sector updates to support organisational awareness
Stakeholder and Community Engagement Support
* Build and maintain stakeholder databases to support effective engagement
* Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities, including facilitating meetings and collaboration with community partners
* Identify and track networking or collaboration opportunities
Document and Resource Management
* Maintain organised filing systems (digital and shared drives)
* Manage training and event resources, including inventory oversight and forward planning
* Ensure consistency of templates, documentation, and branding
Key Skills and Experience
* Demonstrated experience in administration, coordination, program delivery or executive support with the ability to work with a high level of autonomy
* Strong communication (written and verbal), organisation, coordination and interpersonal skills
* Proven ability to manage projects, able to prioritise competing priorities, and deliver outcomes within required timeframes
* Highly competent across Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook and One Note
* Well-developed organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions
* An ability to work positively in a team to promote and model collaborative and respectful staff and client relationships
* Hold a current Working With Vulnerable People Registration

Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) ACT (2011) legislation requires that the preferred applicant will be required to hold a current and valid “Working with Vulnerable People' registration as proof of suitable employment screening and background checks
Qualifications and Experience
* Essential: a minimum of 3 years' experience in business administration, program coordination or a related area.
* Desirable: a Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Communications, Project Management or a related field.
