Interior Designer
Location: Mullumbimby, NSW - Start Date: January 6, 2025

Responsibilities
- Lead design projects from concept to completion, ensuring designs are functional, cutting-edge, and on-brand
- Assess client needs, preferences, and budget to create tailored design solutions
- Source and select materials suitable for the region's coastal climate, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal
- Develop detailed design plans, including layouts, material selection, lighting, and furniture choices
- Oversee the installation of design elements to ensure quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with architects, decorators, contractors, and clients throughout the design process
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and sustainable design principles
Requirements
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and material suitability for coastal environments
- Proven experience in interior design, with a portfolio showcasing past projects
- Expertise in layout design, lighting, material selection, and custom furniture
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, and Illustrator
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and eco-friendly materials
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management and time-management abilities
- Knowledge of local area and climate conditions essential for material and design suitability
