We are seeking someone who is mechanically adept to service and maintain a wide variety of farm equipment, from tractors and quads to pickers, sprayers, pumps, small motors and anything else you can think of that moves on a farm. You will need to be able to demonstrate mechanical competence, most likely through a combination of appropriate qualification and experience. Mostly managing your own efforts, you will need to show you can:
* Prioritise and manage your time, work, priorities and processes in a professional manner.
* Diagnose faults and complete servicing and repairs in a competent and timely manner.
* Communicate, behave and work well with others as part of a cooperative, supportive team.
* Adhere to hygiene and safety programs in order to provide and maintain a safe and clean workplace for fellow employees within WPHS regulations
* Have a forklift license and relevant driver's and other licenses, or be willing to get them as required.
The reward
With a full-time permanent pay rate on offer of between $40 and $50 an hour + superannuation subject to experience and skill, this is an attractive role. That accommodation, including essential services, is proved as well, makes it a compelling opportunity for who wants to live the real Australian outback lifestyle.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to mostly self-manage, taking full ownership of their own time, effort and achievements. There is a lot of variety in the work, and it is inevitable that you will work on things you are familiar with, and things that are new to you. This is more than a "job" - it is a chance to not get stuck in a rut, to embrace a lifestyle, and to enjoy the variety and independence.
