Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our risk management team as a Risk Advisory Manager. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing valued risk and compliance advice to our business units, ensuring the effective implementation of our risk frameworks.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Providing oversight, challenge, and subject matter expertise over various risk and assurance activities, including risk management, control assurance, incident management, and emerging risks.
* Building strong relationships with business stakeholders and actively participating in key forums to elevate the quality of risk discussions.
* Overseeing and challenging major projects and business-as-usual changes to ensure that risk is appropriately considered, assessed, and reported.
* Delivering independent insights into business risks and elevating risk awareness through executive and board-level reporting.
* Acting as a key liaison for training, education, and support, ensuring consistent engagement between business and specialist teams.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess extensive professional experience in compliance, operational risk, and audit roles, ideally within financial services or other highly regulated environments. You should have a strong understanding of the legislative and regulatory framework governing superannuation, funds management, advice, or financial services. Additionally, you will require experience partnering with business teams to embed risk and compliance, balancing commercial and strategic objectives with risk management.
You will also need to demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills, with confidence influencing at all levels. The ability to have courageous conversations on risk management, challenge assumptions, and guide the business towards informed, risk-aware decisions is essential.
Prior relevant qualifications in risk, compliance, or audit are preferred but not required.
