About The Role
Reporting to the, Dragline Rom Supervisor the ROM Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Run of Mine (ROM) pad and associated mining equipment.
You will play a key role in managing truck movements, directing dumping activities, maintaining safe stockpile management, and ensuring consistent coal flow in line with the mine plan.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate equipment on the ROM including loaders or ancillary gear (as required)Coordinate and direct truck tipping activities safely and efficientlyMaintain safe stockpile management and ROM pad housekeepingMonitor coal quality and report any variancesConduct pre-starts, inspections, and basic fault reportingWork closely with Mining Supervisors and dispatch to meet production targets
