The role
You will provide Positive Behaviour Support across community settings. Typical work includes:
* Perform functional behaviour assessments to understand the causes and triggers of challenging behaviours
* Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans aligned with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements
* Help participants develop emotional regulation, communication, and daily living skills to increase independence
* Coaching and training for participants, families, support workers, and providers
* Collaboration to implement least restrictive strategies and monitor outcomes
* Authorisation processes for any regulated restrictive practices and timely plan reviews
* Clear progress reporting against NDIS goals
What you will need
* Relevant tertiary qualification such as Psychology, ABA, Social Work, Special Education, or similar
* Registration or provisional suitability with the NDIS Commission Practitioner Capability Framework
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working With Children Check
* Current First Aid and CPR
* Police Check within 6 months
* Driver licence and reliable insured vehicle
* Experience writing BSPs and leading capability building is desirable
