We are looking for an experienced Litigation Lawyer (1-3+ years PAE) to join our Commercial Litigation team who practices exclusively in this area of law.
The Commercial Litigation team is led by Specialist Accredited Partner Charles Lethbridge and supported by an experienced team of Senior Associates, Lawyers, and Paralegals who practice in this complex and demanding area of law. The Role
We are seeking a Lawyer with 1-3+ years PAE of practical experience to join our Commercial Litigation team.
This role involves handling a variety of commercial litigation matters from start to completion, including disputes relating to: -
* Building & Construction Disputes
* Company, Business & Partnership Disputes
* Contract & Consumer Disputes
* Banking, Finance & Insurance Disputes
* Defamation
* Employment Disputes
* Liquidation and Bankruptcy
* Professional Negligence
* Property Disputes
* Class Actions and more.
Responsibilities:
* Provide legal advice and assistance to clients in all aspects of Commercial Litigation.
* Liaising and corresponding (by phone, email and in person) with other professionals, such as counsel, contra lawyers, accountants, and other 3rd parties.
* Draft court documents and applications.
* Delegate work to junior solicitors, paralegals and administration staff and proof the work produced.
* Contribute to the team's success and facilitate further training to the members where required.
* Attend to accurate time recording and keep contemporaneous file notes.

* A minimum of 1-3 years’ + post-admission experience in a Litigation role

* Experience in LEAP software is beneficial, but not a requirement

The Location
Attwood Marshall Lawyers has modern, spacious, well-positioned offices in Coolangatta, Kingscliff, Robina Town Centre, Southport, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
This full-time position is based at either our Coolangatta/Gold Coast or Brisbane offices. There may be instances where you will be required to work from our other offices.
