At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are looking for an Aboriginal Population Health Manager to be part of our Health Promotion and Public Health teams to support Population Health initiatives across Darkinung Country.
About the Opportunity
In this role, you will providestrategic advice to ensure the development and delivery of culturally informed and responsive, evidence-based population health initiatives to protect and promote improved health outcomes in the Central Coast Aboriginal community.
This will include involvement in health protection activities (communicable disease control, environmental health, immunisation) and health promotion work across four priority areas of healthy eating/active living, prevention of harm from alcohol, tobacco control and falls prevention / healthy ageing. You will be supported by the wider resources of Central Coast Public Health and Health Promotion Units, including public health physicians, nurses and allied health professionals, epidemiologists, statisticians, environmental health officers, project officers, health promotion project officers and information resource specialists.
As this is an Aboriginal Identified Position, applicants must be of Aboriginal descent through parentage, identification as being Aboriginal and being accepted in the community as such.
You can demonstrated knowledge of population health principles and experience of leadership in Aboriginal health, including project management involving vulnerable populations designed to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequities.
You can demonstrated high level analytical and problem-solving skills that lead to the development of innovative solutions to improve service delivery.
