Location: Melbourne or Perth based.
We are looking for a talented Senior Project Engineer for a full-service Engineering Firm with a robust client list and project pipeline across Australia. You will work on exciting project design and manage projects for tier‑1 clients such as Rio, BHP, and others across Australia and overseas.
Key Responsibilities
- Management and ownership of multi‑discipline design projects.
- Progress tracking, planning and scheduling.
- Scoping and proposal development.
- Facilitate and participate in design reviews.
- Support and collaborate with highly skilled designers and engineers to develop designs for a wide range of plant elements.
- Prepare technical engineering documents as part of overall project engineering deliverables.
- Visits to client sites as required.
Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
- 7+ years of multidisciplinary project experience.
- Exposure to materials‑handling related design projects, in both the greenfields and brownfields space.
- Design and engineering knowledge within the materials‑handling industry.
- Experience across a range of commodities, including gold, copper, lithium and iron ore, is favourable.
- Mechanical engineering design experience desirable.
- Excellent organisational, communication, teamwork and time‑management skills.
- Technical aptitude, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and the ability to think outside the box.
