Overview
Care Worker - Lake Macquarie West - Experienced at Silverchain Group, Mandalong NSW 2264. The role supports older community members to maintain independence and wellbeing. Experience in a similar professional role is required (minimum 3 months).
Responsibilities
- Provide general housekeeping and domestic tasks: making beds, cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors, laundry, meal preparation and grocery shopping.
- Deliver personal care services: getting clients out of bed, showering and dressing, assisting with medications, mobility and therapy goals, and providing complex care for high needs (including dementia).
- Offer social and emotional support and transport clients to lifestyle activities or appointments.
- Support family carers by giving them a break or time for other tasks.

In Addition, You Will Need
- A valid Australian Driver's Licence and access to an insured, roadworthy vehicle.
- Minimum 3 months of experience in a similar role, with experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications.
The Role Details
Provide home help services as part of aged care, including general housekeeping and personal care.
- General housekeeping, beds, cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and grocery shopping.
- Personal care: assist with getting clients out of bed, showering/dressing, medication support, mobility support, and high-care needs assistance such as dementia.
- Transport to activities or appointments and support for family carers.
