Hudson are proud to partner with a large financial services organisation in the search for a 'Cyber Security Advisor' to join their team.
This is a highly regarded role within the team that plays a pivotal function in ensuring that cyber security standards are upheld across the organisation.
This is a wholistic cyber security advisor role, GRC knowledge will be vital in order to understand the complex requirements and risks involved.
GRC knowledge alone will not be enough though, this is not a hands on role, but will still require a cyber SME that can give pointed advice to technical teams, educating them on ways that they can manage and remediate risks.
Initial contract: 6 months with the view to extend.
Rate: Up to $**** + super per day.
Location: Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney.
Hybrid workplace.
Responsibilities
Complete architecture and design reviews, security control assessments, and threat modelling activities of new and existing systems.
Give advice and guidance to project teams on all aspects of cyber security, ensuring cyber security is taken into consideration throughout IT projects, and when making key decisions.
Guide technical teams on the remediation of identifies security gaps
Ensure that cyber security controls meeting regulatory requirements (APRA, etc.)
Drive a positive, security aware culture within the organisation
Requirements
7+ years in cyber security with experience in both GRC and technical roles
Ability to conduct architecture reviews from a security perspective, and give actionable feedback when gaps are identified
Professional, precise, communication skills while remaining approachable for other team members
Someone who is in touch with industry trends, best practices, and new technological developments that can bring these ideas to the organisation
Strong cloud security knowledge (AWS preferred)
