IJF Australia is the national market leader within the contract joinery fit out industry, specializing in project management, installation, and design of joinery in the commercial, apartment, office, and hotel sectors.
IJF Australia is looking to appoint a Site Supervisor to our Project Operations Team, reporting to the National Site Manager. The position will be based in Adelaide and may include travel.
The Role:
The Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned projects, overseeing team resources and subcontractors, and ensuring the complete and timely installation of the project within budget. This role also involves maintaining client relationships and effectively communicating with all key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
* Lead a culture of safety and manage site safety documentation.
* Oversee and manage the project outcomes on IJF commercial projects.
* Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships, ensuring client satisfaction at all times.
* Develop a practice of continual improvement.
* Conduct yourself in a manner consistent with IJF values.
* Plan and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion.
* Lead and mentor the site project team.
* Ensure a continual focus on quality, standardized operations, and cost-effectiveness.
* Collaborate with the IJF Project Manager to ensure accurate reporting.
* Attend all site construction communication meetings on behalf of IJF.
* Identify and document any out-of-scope works and report to the Project Manager.
* Oversee allocated subcontractors to ensure efficiency, quality of work, and defect-free completion.
The Requirements:
You will have excellent planning, efficient time management, and communication skills, as well as leadership qualities that will enable you to coach and mentor your team.
You should have knowledge of the construction industry with a work history in a finishing trade.
To be successful, you will ideally have:
* 5-10 years in construction and 2-3 years in a management position.
* Current knowledge of joinery and construction industries.
* Ownership and responsibility over your role.
* Effective team and people management skills.
